Gwennyth Paulson

Gwennyth Paulson is a senior student at the University of Michigan studying Film, Television, and Media. They transferred from Northern Michigan University in 2022 after previously studying Botany. Their passion for filmmaking was reignited midway through college, and since then they have explored making films across multiple genres including creative fiction, documentary, and experimental shorts. Through the film medium, they desire to raise up the stories of marginalized people, and highlight nuanced perspectives on queerness and gender identity as well as neurodivergence and mental health. They hope that at WITNESS, they can bring the stories of incarcerated peoples to a wider audience through short films and media shorts. When they aren’t editing or writing, they like to play video games, read, and hang out with their cat, Ghost.
