Rebecca Kopelman

rebecca.jpg

Rebecca is a freshman at Colgate University, majoring in English and Philosophy. She began working at WITNESS in June as a social media intern, and has found the experience to be uniquely humbling and rewarding. Rebecca is highly involved in fighting for educational equity in her community and promoting radical empathy through journalism. She hopes, through her work with WITNESS, to reshape existing narratives about incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people, and to drive people to question their own biases and perceptions.
